Scratch to Match Fundraiser

06 September 2014

The GAA club is running a fundraiser to allow us to continue with our development plans, and to continue providing support to allow our players be trained in the best possible manner. The plan is that we are selling scratch card tickets at a price of €2 each. If you scratch the card, and it shows the time of the first goal in the all-ireland hurling final 2014, you win €500. There will be a ‘no goals’ ticket and an ‘extra-time goal scored ticket’ so if there are no goals, or if the first goal is scored in extra time of either half, there will still be one lucky winner.

We will not be putting pressure on any locals to buy tickets as you all support us enough financially already. Obviously if you wish to buy a ticket, you can approach a club official or member who will arrange to sell you one. The aim is to try to sell as many tickets as possible to people from outside our parish.

If you think you could sell some tickets outside the parish, in your workplace, on your holidays etc, then please let us know and we will allocate some tickets to you to allow you sell. The more people we have selling, the more successful the fundraiser will be.

Worst case scenario for a buyer of ticket is they lose €2, best case scenario is the buyer wins €500. One way or another, it will add a bit of excitement to the all-ireland final for a buyer of a ticket.

Please contact any club official if you would like to get involved.
