KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: The results of Wednesday 30th August were: 1st: Ellen Delahunty & Pascal Grace; Joint 2nd: Josie O’Gorman & Tina Ronan, Peadar & Kathleen Kelly and Emer Wallace & Philip Brennan. Visitors are always welcome on Wednesday evenings at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. Partners will be provided on the night.

OPEN MIC NIGHT: The Next Open Mic is on Thursday 7th September at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan's Community Centre Kilmoganny. It is a great night’s entertainment. If you'd like to take part tell a story read a poem sing a song or play music please contact Alva on 085 – 8641378.


 


KELLS NEW YOUTH GROUP (affiliated to Ossory Youth Group) is seeking volunteers to assist in supervising in Kells Hall on Friday nights starting in September 2017. Please call Irene 0872447677


 


Dick O’Neill of Ballintee died peacefully at his residence on Saturday 26th August. He is survived by his loving wife Maudie, Sons; Paddy, Lorcan, Richard, Michael and J.P., daughters; Sinead, Stella, Mary and Olive his brother Tom and sister Rose, numerous grand-children, in-laws relatives and friends. His remains were received at St. Leonard’s Church, Dunamaggan by Rev. Nicholas Flavin P.P. accompanied by Revs. William Dalton, Fergus Farrell, Pat Comerford, Jim Walsh, Liam Cassin, Larry O’Keeffe and Liam Barron. The readings and prayers of the faithful were read by members of the family. The symbols and offertory gifts were presented by members of his family. Dick was laid to rest in Kilmoganny cemetery. May he rest in peace.


 


BRIDGE LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS will commence in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny on Wednesday 4th October at 8.00 p.m.. It is not necessary to have any card playing experience. The cost of 10 lessons on 10 successive Wednesdays is €30 including tea/coffee. For further details contact 087 – 2257498.
