KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: The results of Wednesday 15th November were: 1st: Kathleen O’Shea & Mary Lonergan; 2nd: Elizabeth Lanigan & Nellie Lahart; 3rd: Josie O’Gorman & Tina    Ronan. Bridge takes place each Wednesday at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. Christmas Prize night for members is on Wednesday 20th December. Visitors are always welcome.

DUNAMAGGIN JUVENILE HURLING CLUB A.G.M. The Annual General Meeting was fixed for Friday8th December at 8.00 p.m. in St. Leonard’s Hall, Dunamaggan. The Dunamaggin Hurling Club holds it’s a.g.m. on 1st December at 8.00 p.m. in St. Leonard’s Hall, Dunamaggin. The Kilmoganny Football Club A.G.M. usually precedes it on the same evening.


 


KELLS HANDBALL CLUB: Peter Funchion, Kells Handball Club, competed in the Tucson Arizona Memorial Handball Tournament where he defeated Carlos Lemus (USA), Marcoz Chavez (USA) and Emmet Peixoto (USA) and was defeated in the quarter finals by Robbie McCarthy (Westmeath).  He then teamed up with Fausto Castro (USA) and won out the Open Doubles.  Congratulations and very well done on his great achievement


The County U10 and U11 Wall Ball fun day was held in Mullinavat.  The Kells participants in the Girls U10 were Mia O’Connell and Shauna Hayes, in the Girls U11 Katie Grace and Marisa Dunne, in the Boys U10 were Conor Lawton, Ciaran Hickey, Liam Davis, Tim Doherty, Fionn Mahony and Alan Cunniffe and in the Boys U11 were Sean Lawton, Ross O’Neill and John Hayes who defeated Conor Doyle (Windgap) in the final.  Congratulations and well done to all and hope you all enjoyed your day and thanks to Mullinavat for hosting the fun day wall ball tournament.


 


CONFIRMATION MEETINGS: The following dates were agreed for meetings of the 44 children from the Parish who will receive their Confirmation on Saturday 27th January in St. Leonard’s Church, Dunamaggan, Mondays 27th November, 4th & 11th December and 15th January from 8.00 p.m. – 9 .00 p.m. each evening.


 


WINDGAP CAMOGIE CLUB which has many members from Dunamaggan Parish will hold a coffee morning in Tullahought Hall after 10.00 a.m. Mass on Next Sunday. The A.G.M. takes place on Sunday 3rd December in the G.A.A. Club rooms, Windgap at 12.00 noon.


 


KEEPING IN SHAPE: The Dunamaggan Walking Group meet each Tuesday & Thursday at 7.00 p.m. at St. Leonard’s School. There is a welcome for all participants. Just remember to wear reflective clothing.


 


LEINSTER MEDAL WINNERS; Five members of Dunamaggin Hurling Club we members of the St. Kieran’s College tem which defeated Good Counsel College in the Leinster Final and have singe qualified for the All Ireland Final. The Players involved were team captain Harry Walsh who was full back, corner back Andy Hickey and substitutes Alex Moore, Denis Walsh and Kieran Buckley. The play Thurles C.B.S. in the All-Ireland Final on 2nd December.


 


COOLAGH CARDS; The annual pre-Christmas 25’s will take place on each Thursday from now until Christmas in Coolagh Hall at 8.00 p.m. Prizes include hams and hampers.  New participants are always welcome.
