KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: The results of Wednesday 22nd November were: 1st: Kathleen O’Shea & Mary Lonergan; 2nd: Therese Walsh & Eileen Grace; 3rd: Moira Hickey & Nellie Lahart. Bridge takes place each Wednesday at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. Christmas Prize night for members is on Wednesday 20th December. Visitors are always welcome.

DUNAMAGGIN JUVENILE HURLING CLUB A.G.M. The Annual General Meeting was fixed for Friday 8th December at 8.00 p.m. in St. Leonard’s Hall, Dunamaggan. The Dunamaggin Hurling Club holds it’s a.g.m. on 1st December at 8.00 p.m. in St. Leonard’s Hall, Dunamaggin. The Kilmoganny Football Club A.G.M. usually precedes it on the same evening.


 


KELLS HANDBALL CLUB: In the 2nd Level Colleges 60 x 30 All Ireland Eoin Brennan (Kells)/Jack Doyle (Windgap) representing St. Kieran’s College defeated Liam Egan/Michael Egan Roscommon in the semi-final and defeated Rian McCaul/Tiernan McAleer, Tyrone, in the Final. In the Adult County 40 x 20 League in Division 4 Michael Power (Kells) defeated Colin McKenna (Kells) and in Division 2 Anthony Martin (Kells) defeated Dan Breen (Kells).


 


WEDDING BELLS: The wedding between Alexandra Noonan, daughter of Liz and Anthony Noonan from Maddoxtown, Callan and Patrick Kenneally son of Joan and Pat Kenneally of Cotterlstown, Kilmoganny was solemnised in the Church of the Assumption Callan on Friday last 24th November. The bridesmaids were: Sarah Culleton, Sarah Noonan, Lydia Noonan and Michaela Kenneally. The Best man was Shane Kenny and the Groomsmen were Peter Kenneally, Adam Kenneally and Anthony Kenneally. The readings and prayers of the faithful were read by family members and the offertory gifts were presented by Liz Noonan and Joan Kenneally. The mass was celebrated by Rev. Nicholas Flavin.


 


HISTORY OF DUNAMAGGAN: The next meeting will take place in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny on Tuesday 12th December at 8.00 p.m. In the near future old and relevant photographs will be sought so if you have any such photographs you are asked to make then available in the future and to contact any member of the History group or come to any of its meetings.
