Juvenile Leinster 40 x 20 championships
In the Semi Finals of the Juvenile Leinster 40 x 20 championships the BU13 Doubles Noah Manogue/Ross O’Neill (Kells) defeated Jack Walton/Philip Stankavish (Carlow) and the BU15D Harry Delaney (Kells) and David Sherman (Galmoy) defeated Rory Dunne / Conor Walsh (Laois)
In the Finals of the Juvenile Leinster 40 x 20 championships the BU13 Doubles Noah Manogue/Ross O’Neill (Kells) defeated Rory Gilbert and Joshua Roche (Wexford) which went to the 3rd game to separate them and they won 15-9 in the tie breaker. In the Boys U14 Singles Joseph Prendergast (Kells) defeated Eoin Roche (Wexford) in a thriller 3 game match that Joseph won in the tie breaker 15-13. In the BU15D Harry Delaney (Kells) and David Sherman (Galmoy) defeated Miley Connors and Ryan Moran (Wexford) in two games 15-5 15-0. In the Final of the Girls U12 Doubles Mia O’Connell and Emily Shortall (Kells) defeated Catherine Kirby and Aoife Kirby (Laois) in two games 15-4 15-13. In the Final of the Girls U17 Doubles Olivia Mahony and Ciara Walsh (Kells) lost out to Aoife Dunne and Roisin Fitzpatrick in 2 games 21-8 21-18. Congratulations and very well done to everyone on reaching the Finals and good luck in the All Ireland semi finals.


COIS NORE CANCER SUPPORT CENTRE


Cois Nore are currently looking for volunteers for the Centre to provide support to the team. The Centre on Walkin Street provides support to individuals and their families who have been affected by cancer through counselling, massage, reflexology, information and a drop in listening service.

Aware Life Skills Group Programme is now open for registration in Kilkenny. Aware provides support, education and information services around depression and bipolar disorder. The free Life Skills Group Programme runs for nine hours over six weeks and will teach attendees how to better manage the stress of everyday life, recognise and manage unhelpful thoughts, learn new ways of thinking and ultimately begin the journey to a healthier and more confident life. It begins on Tuesday 12th March at Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel. Online registration for the programme is now open and places are available to anyone over 18. Those interested in attending are encouraged to book quickly as places are limited. Although free to attend, there is a refundable €30 booking deposit in place to ensure participants that really want to book a place have the opportunity to do so. The booking fee will be refunded by contacting Aware once all six modules in the course have been completed. Reduced booking fees are available for students, the unemployed, OAPs or those in possession of a medical card. To register and book your place visit www.aware.ie


Dunnamaggin Gaa Club Registration Annual registration for Dunnamaggin GAA club will take place Sat 2nd March after 6:15pm mass in St.Eoghans Centre, Kilmoganny and after 10am Mass on Sunday 3rd in St.Leonards Hall, Dunnamaggin. New members can sign up on either of these days.


Dunnamaggin Dash: The annual Dunnamaggin Dash Fun Run and Walk will take place on Sunday March 10th. Registration from 11am at St Leonards National School Dunnamaggin: Adults €10, Children €5 or Family €20. Run/Walk starts at 12noon. Refreshments afterwards in the school. Get your runners ready!


Dunnamaggin GAA Victory Dinner Dance Get your dancing shoes on to celebrate a fantastic year for Dunnamaggin GAA. The Victory Dinner Dance will take place on Sat 23rd March in the Skyline Suite, Hotel Kilkenny. Further details closer to time.
