Dunnamaggin Development Group Plans are in place and we will have everything ready to go for our 2nd annual Christmas Market on Sunday December 6th should Covid19 restrictions be lifted and markets can take place. Santa Claus will do a special Drive By in the carriage pulled by a vintage tractor at 12 noon through the street of Dunnamaggin. Stalls filled with local crafts, food and art will be on site at the Old School in the village for the Christmas present shopping. This year an outside tea/coffee and cake stall will provide sustenance and a Monster Raffle will take place at 3pm for some fabulous prizes. The market will take place from 11am to 4pm and all Covid19 rules and restrictions will be adhered too.

Flu Vaccine: The flu vaccine is now available in Kilmoganny Health Centre for patients of the practice. This year, a free nasal spray flu vaccine is also available for all children aged 2 to 12 years. Please contact us to make an appointment at (051) 648007.

Sunday Mass: mass from St Leonard’s church will be live streamed through the Dunnamaggin GAA Facebook page on Sunday mornings @ 11am for the duration of the Lockdown. https://www.facebook.com/Dunnamaggingaaclub/

One Million Stars: Check out www.onemillionstarsireland.ie . Kells features strongly as they hosted the first exhibition of the stars. The stars (10,000) will be on display in MacDonagh junction from November 25th. The exhibition marks the beginning of the 16 days of activism against violence. The stars represent light, hope and solidarity. All the stars have been handwoven, from homes in Kells, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Offaly, Waterford, Dublin, Mayo and Louth. More counties are coming on board. Well done to the staff and residents of St Joseph's Home Kilmoganny for their contribution of beautiful stars.

The annual Kells calendar is available from Bob's shop in Kells Village. The calendar captures the community, the groups, the new additions, the businesses, the school, the preschool, the flowers, the heritage and of course the people. Great pictures of the priory in the mist from Philip Tallon. Well done to Tidy Towns, especially Siobhan and Tom Tulloch for another great production.
