Dunnamaggin Development Group: A Flower Arranging course is starting early next month (March) in the Old School. Spaces are limited so please share with family and friends who you think might be interested. Please direct message on our facebook page to book your place or call Joan on 087 9320371. Our next Community Gathering which consists of tea and coffee and a chat with friends and neighbours for the adults and a children's corner with juice and crayons and colouring books will take place next Sunday the 27th of February for 11.30am to 1pm. Looking forward to seeing you all there. Our AGM will take place on Sunday March 13th as part of that weeks Community Gathering at which The Vision for Dunnamaggin will be launched. We encourage everyone to come along and see the outcome of the consultations that have taken place over the last twelve months despite Covid-19. The monthly markets will return to Madges Garden in April and continue until December.


Kells Handball Club: Girls U15 Doubles Leinster Final - Mia O Connell/Jenny Saunders (Kilkenny) defeated Dublin in St Brigids In the first final of the Leinster 40x20 Juvenile Championships the Kells/Windgap pair defeated Dublin in two games Congratulations to both girls on a fantastic achievement.

Dunna Dash is BACK Sunday March 6th. Dunna Dash isn't just for runners.. it's the perfect chance to get on your walking shoes, grab a friend and get out the door for a stroll or power walk around our scenic Dunnamaggin loop!! Registration at St Leonards NS at 11am. Adults €10, Children €5, Families €20. Prizes for first male, female and juvenile. This year will see the return of the “Kiddies 1km Dash” for school children from 3rd class down and will start at 11.45am. All children will receive a medal for this event. The main Dunna Dash will start at 12 noon. Refreshments afterwards in the school.

St. Patrick’s Festival Kilkenny will return to the streets this year for a 6-day festival from the 15th-20th of March. The centre of the festival will be the return of the in-person Parade through the streets of Kilkenny city. Community groups, organisations and creatives are invited to submit an entry to the Parade which will take place at 1.30pm on Thursday the 17th of March. Kilmoganny Tidy Towns will participate in the National Spring Clean from Friday 4th March to Sunday 6th March. Meeting each morning at 11 am at the St Eoghans Church. Please come along to volunteer and be part of this litter pick. Tell your neighbours and friends to join in . All bags , gloves and pickers will be provided.
