THE ANNUAL EASTER SUNDAY PARADE in honor of Pat Walsh Parade will take place in Dunamaggan after 11.00 a.m. Mass on Easter Sunday. Dunamaggan is one of the few villages in Ireland which has maintained this tradition of remembering and honoring those who fought for Irish freedom. Two very important centenaries will be celebrated within the next decade, that of the 1916 rising and the war of Independence of 1921. The importance of having celebrations to mark these events and ensuring that the annual celebrations continue and take place during these centenaries should encourage support for the annual event. It is expected that the usual color party from the reserve defence forces will be present at mass. That evening in O’Connor’s, Dunamaggan a cabaret will be held with the proceeds going to the Parade Committee and to Dunamaggan Juvenile G.A.A. Club. You are asked to give this event your support.

If you have any ideas do not hesitate to communicate them to Dunamaggan G.A.A. club.

It is a musical drama which deals with emigration from Ireland to England due to lack of employment in Ireland. It is directed by Michael Dowling with Rebecca Murphy as musical director.
The cast is Rosanne Connelly, Martin O’Shea, Eamon Murphy, Joan Brennan, Gerry Carroll, Biddy Hawe, Aoife O’Neill, Pete Dunne, Gemma Long, Mark Dunphy, Bobby Murphy, Willie Kearney, Ciaran Moore, Olivia Dunne, Kathy Dunphy and Marina Kelly.
