FIRST HOLY COMMUNION was celebrated during 10.00 a.m. mass in St. Eoghan’s Church, Kilmoganny last Sunday. Amy Monahan and Caleb O’Shea pupils of St. Eoghan’s School, Kilmoganny received their First Holy Communion. The school choir sand and played tin whistles during the ceremony. Parents of the pupils and the communicants read the readings and the prayers of the faithful. On next Saturday 26th May first Holy Communion will be celebrated in Kells for the Children of St. Brigid’s School at 11.30 a.m.

THE ANNUAL MASS FOR STUDENTS SITTING EXAMINATIONS will be celebrated in St. Eoghan’s Church, Kilmoganny on Saturday 2nd June at 7.00 p.m.


DUNAMAGGAN U 14 HURLERS continued their good start to their league on Monday night 14th May against St. Patrick’s, Ballyragget in Ballyragget when they were victorious on a scoreline of 2 - 8 to 0 - 3. Dunnamaggin led throughout the first half and used the wind to their advantage and lead at half time 1 - 6 to 0 - 2, Conor Lawlor scoring the goal. Dunnamaggin continued to add to their lead in the second half with Dara Keane scoring the second goal. Dara also contributed two points on the night, Conor Lawlor five and Victor Costello one from centre back. Jamie McLoughlin in goal and Eddie Dunne at wing back were excellent throughout.
