D.K.K. Lotto: The winning numbers of the October 11th draw were: 7, 8, 18. There was no jackpot winner. The following won €30 each: Ashley Norris, Joan Phelan, Brendan Doherty, Patrick Keane and Tom Cahill. Next week’s jackpot will be worth €2,050. The Bingo jackpot on Saturday night’s in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny is now worth €420. The Pool number is worth €1,190.
The History of Dunamaggan material is now in the process of being edited. The next meeting will be on Monday 25th October at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. New material, photographs, historical documents and any other material which you would consider suitable for the publication would be welcome. Anyone with an interest in the project or who has material to contribute is very welcome to attend the meeting.
Dunamaggan Pastoral Council will hold its next meeting on Tuesday 26th October at 9.00 p.m. Rev. John Hannon, CSSP who will be leading the Parish Mission from February 27th – March 4th 2011 will attend this meeting. It is hoped that all the questionnaires which were circulated to homes seeking the views of parishioners re the Mission will be returned by that date. “The returned questionnaires”, parish priest Nicholas Flavin stated, “will assist the Parish Pastoral Council in informing Rev. John Hannon as to the desires of Dunamaggan parishioners for the Mission.”
Camphill Community, Kyle, Coolagh will hold a craft sale on Sunday 7th November from 2.00 p.m. – 5 .00 p.m.. In addition to numerous craft stalls there will be cake and vegetable sales, games, raffles, teas/coffees and a puppet show. Donations for the sale are very welcome.
The Rehab Group expressed their thanks to Dunamaggan and Kilmoganny communities for their recent support of their Church Door collection. The amount collected was €134.47 and €186.07 respectively.
Dunamaggan Hurling Club and Kilmoganny Football Club recently circulated all housed in the parish with an outlining of their proposals for the future development of facilities in the Parish and their costings. During the coming weeks members of the Clubs will visit each home to explain in details the proposals. Club Chairman, Seamus Knox, stated that “while these are difficult financial times for many people it is hope that there will be a positive response to this initiative. The proposals, when put into action, will enhance the sporting facilities in the parish for the next generation. All contributions, small and large are very welcome.”
