D.K.K. Lotto: The winning numbers of the November 1st draw were: 6, 7, 20. There was no jackpot winner. The following won €30 each: T & A Hughes, Patrick Keane, Kevin Conway, Maisie Condon and Jamie Moore. Next week’s jackpot will be worth €2,500. The Bingo jackpot on Saturday night’s in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny is now worth €450. The Pool number is worth €1,220.

A Table Quiz will take place in Shirley’s, Kells on this Saturday November 13th in aid of the Annual Senior Citizens Party which will take place on Sunday 12th December and the Annual Carol Singing in Kells on Sunday 19th December. Your support would be appreciated.

A Very Successful Outing to Croke Park and Dáil Eireann took place on Wednesday 27th October. 43 members of the local community from 4 months ole to 94 years old made the journey. There was a guided tour of Croke Park Stadium before the group was free to spend time in the Museum. In the afternoon the group visited Dáil Eireann where local deputy Bobby Aylward, T.D. brought them on a tour of the Seanad and the Dáil before the group observed proceedings in each house. The group had a very enjoyable day out and was very appreciative of the hospitality offered by Bobby Aylward in Leinster House.

St. Leonard’s School, Dunamaggan pupils were once again successful in a National Competition. The 5th & 6th Class pupils won €1,000 in the Irish Independent “Building for the Future” competition as their project was highly commended. In addition they won a T.V. and Music System for the school.
Aoife Mulhall came third in the Library Card Competition and won a prize of €25.
There were 5 winners in the Credit Union Poster Competition. The prize winners were: Claire Kirwan 3td in 11 – 13 years; Robbie McCauley 1st in the 8 – 10 years; Emma Denny 3rd in the 8 – 10 years; Isabella Johnston 1st in the U 7 years; Ciara Mulhall 3rd in U 7 years.

The Annual Coolagh Cards for pre-Christmas will begin on Thursday 18th November at 8.00 p.m. in Coolagh Hall. The 25’s Game will be held on each Thursday from 18th November until Christmas. Prizes include hams and hampers. There is also a Christmas raffle for a prize fund of €900. All are welcome to the card games on any or all Thursday evenings.

Dunamaggan parish Dinner Dance will take place in the Ormond Hotel, Kilkenny on Saturday 27th November at 8.30 p.m. sharp. Tickets are available from James Rossiter 056 – 7728836, Tom and John Hickey, Tonnie Moore, Patricia Coffey, Dennis Walsh, Seamus Knox, Johno Reid, John O’Dwyer and Rachel O’Connor. Tickets cost €35. The hotel is offering a special rate of €99 per couple for Bed & Breakfast. The organizing committee would appreciate early purchase of tickets so that arrangements for the night can be finalized.
