MASS OF WELCOME AND FAMILY: This year the annual mass of welcome for new parishioners and celebration at St. Leonard’s Well, in Dunamaggan. The ancient well is located between the river Glory and Dunamaggan G.A.A. pitch on the land of Ned Kieran. The evening of beautiful sunshine set a marvellous back drop to this picturesque setting. At the end of the mass, celebrated by Rev. Nicholas Flavin P.P. the Well was blessed and the congregation blessed with the water from the Well. The ancient stature of St. Leonard was also on display at the celebration. After the mass a picnic, sing-song and chat followed in the grounds of St. Leonard’s Church around the Camp Fire. It was a very enjoyable evening for all present.
