CAMOGIE TABLE QUIZ: Windgap Camogie Club, which has many Dunamaggan members, will host its Halloween Family Table Quiz in St. Leonard’s Hall, Dunamaggan on this Wednesday 31st October at 8.00 p.m.. Entry is €20 per table. There are prizes for the best costumes. Your support would be very much appreciated.

NOVEMBER IS A TIME TO REMEMBER THE DEAD: THE FEAST OF ALL SAINTS on November 1st is a Holy day of Obligation. Masses will be celebrated on Wednesday 31st in Kilmoganny at 7.00 p.m. and on Thursday 1st in Tullahought at 9.00 a.m., Windgap at 10.00 a.m. and Dunamaggan at 11.00 a.m. The FEAST OF ALL SOULS is celebrated on Friday 2nd November. Masses for the Feast will be celebrated in Dunamaggan at 9.30 a.m., in St. Joseph’s Home, Kilmoganny at 12.10 p.m. and in Windgap at 7.30 p.m.


A NOVENA OF MASSES (9 masses) will be celebrated during November for those deceased relatives & friends whose names are on the November lists of the dead.


 


CHILDMINDERS INTRODUCTORY COURSE: Are you a childminder or thinking of becoming a childminder? An “introduction to childminding course” will take place in Kilkenny on Saturday 10th and Saturday 17th of November from 10am – 4pm each day. Kilkenny Bereavement Support will hold a meeting for people bereaved by suicide in Villa Maria, Talbots Inch, Kilkenny on Thursday 1st November at 8.00pm. All are welcome. For information phone 056-7756538.

Have you, or a family member, experienced, pain, tiredness, stress, loss of mobility, fear for the future, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, isolation or any of the many other consequences of long-term and enduring ill-health or disability? Would a Self-Management Programme help?  Self-management is about using simple skills to take control of the way you think and feel about your health condition/your caring situation and how you cope in everyday life. Dochas Nasamu Orphanage - in Nairobi, Kenya, which is an Irish run and Irish built Aids orphanage, are holding a used clothing appeal of ladies, gents and children’s clothes, shoes, household linens i.e. towels, sheets, blankets, soft toys, handbags etc.(whatever condition - even in need of  - recycling - so long as the items are clean).
