SENIOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE FINAL: The Kilmoganny Senior footballers contested the league final against Muckalee in James’s Park on Saturday afternoon last. Kilmoganny got off to a blistering start with points from Darren Fitzpatrick and Kenny Moore before Peter Kenneally somehow found the net from a tight angle. This seemed to spark Muckalee into life and they responded with two points to bring them right back into the game. All this happened within the opening ten minutes of the game. Darren Fitzpatrick responded with another good point before a period of good football from Muckalee saw them yielding two points and they also had many wides. Kenny Moore popped over another good point just before half time to send his team in leading 1 - 4 to 0 - 5 at half time. Kieran Bergin was introduced for Anthony Kearney at half time. Muckalee opened the second half with real purpose and pointed from a move from the throw in. Muckalee were playing a good brand of football at this stage in a second half that was interrupted by stoppages in play and many frees. Kilmoganny were reduced to fourteen for a second yellow card early in the second half and Muckalee took full advantage and piled on the pressure on the very hardworking Kilmoganny players and ran out  winning by 0 – 11 to 1 - 4. The Kilmoganny panel was:- Jim Fallon, Mark Dowling, Aidan Donovan, Andrew Hickey, Canice Hickey, Noel Hickey, Andrew Fitzpatrick, Sean Connery, JJ Dunphy, Colin Herity, Kenny Moore, Darren Fitzpatrick, Peter Kenneally, Anthony Kearney, Paddy Delaney, Subs:  Aaron Doherty, Seaghan O’Neill for Peter Kenneally 50mins, Jason Doherty, Richard O’Shea, Tommy O’Brien, John Fitzpatrick, Conor Long, William Hughes, James Kehoe, Ray Cody.
