Picture in the Priory

06 May 2013

"PICTURES AT THE PRIORY" is an annual exhibition which brings together both amateur and established artists, giving them the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work in the elegant setting of The Priory. Local craftspeople also have the opportunity to display and sell their produce.

The 19th exhibition will take place in The Priory, Kells on Monday 6th May, Wednesday 8th May and Friday 10th May, running from 7pm to 10pm on each of these evenings, by kind permission of the Reverend Martin and Mrs Marlyn Hilliard.

The entrance fee is 5 euro, which includes a complimentary glass of wine and cheese. The proceeds go to the Kells (C of I) group of parishes and The Samaritans.

Live music in the drawing room will be provided by both professional and amateur musicians with piano, voice, brass, wind and stringed instruments.

Kells Primary School is running a painting competition and winning pictures will be on show in The Priory during the exhibition.

Reverend Martin Hilliard has said how much he is looking forward to the exhibition and how he relishes the opportunity to bring all members of the community together for such a fun and vibrant week.
