CEMETARY MASSES in Dunamaggan Parish will be celebrated as follows: Kilmoganny Cemetery on Friday 12th July; Kilree Cemetery on Wednesday 17th July and in Dunamaggan Cemetery on Friday 19th July. All masses will be celebrated at 8.00 p.m.

JACK ROCHE late of Danganbeg died in St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny last Friday 28th June. He reposed at the home of his relative Seam McCarthy, Knockdrinna before his remains were removed to Knocktopher Church for the mass of Christian Burial on Sunday morning which was celebrated by Rev. P. Brennan O.Carm. He was buried in Kilmoganny Cemetery where graveside prayers were recited by Rev. Nicholas Flavin P.P. and Rev. P. Brennan. May he rest in peace.


 


WEDDING CELEBRATION: The wedding celebration between Áine Wallace, daughter of John and Emer Wallace, Clone, Kilmoganny and Shane Murtagh formally of Tramore was celebrated in the Church of the Assumption, Booterstown Avenue, Blackrock, Co. Dublin on Friday 28th July. The bridesmaids were Deidre Wallace, Fiona Wallace and Orla Collins. The best men were Anthony Hanrahan, Michael James Condon and Thomas Rochford. The Celebrant at the mass was Rev. Nicholas Flavin. The readings and prayers at the mass were recited by relatives and family members. Emer Wallace and Paula Murtagh presented the gifts at the offertory.


 


DOUBLE WINNERS: The following is the panel of players from the schools in Dunamaggan Parish who won the Tommy O' Brien Cup and the Roinn C Schools County Final. Dylan Carroll, Cathal Ryan, Conor Hoban, Ger Coffey, Alex Moore, Dylan Crehan, Jamie O'Keeffe, Adam Fitzpatrick, Conor Brett, Andy Hickey, Darragh O' Keeffe, Daniel O'Neill, Dylan Wall, Eddie Dunne, Sean O'Keefe, Derek Carroll, Kieran Buckley, Oisin McDermott, Conor Denny, Cathal Persse, Jack O’Connell, Aidan O’Neill, Joe Fitzpatrick, Darragh Walsh. The team was undefeated in the championship. Mr. Tom Hickey, Principal, Kilmoganny School was coach of the team.
