U8 Hurling Well done to all the U8's who participated in the Roan More blitz on Saturday. They played GlynnBarntown, Cappaquinn, Ballyduff upper in the first group of games where they won two games and lost the against GlynnBarntown. They then played Four M...ile Water, Glynn Barntown and Mount Sion where they lost,won and drew.Those who participated were:- Cathal Walsh,Sean Rossiter, Ross O'Neill,Cathal Buckley,Eoin Shiel,Tommy Steed,Sam O'Shea,William Browne,Gavin McMahon,Killian Tallon,Sean Lawton,John Hayes,Tom Kinsella, Aidan Ryan.Mentors John Walsh, Kevin O'Neill, John Hayes,John Hayes.. U6 Hurling Well done to all the U6 players, mentors and parents who braved the elements Sunday at the O'Loughlin Gaels blitz. Both teams played three games with our older u6's playing James Stephens ,Clara and Thomastown while our other team played Jam...es stephens,O'Loughlins and Dicksboro. All players were presented with their medals and goodies by Co.Hurler Brian Hogan and got to get their picture taken with the Liam McCarthy trophy. BRIDGE CLASSES for beginners will commence on Wednesday 2nd October at 8.00 p.m. The lessons will run for 10 consecutive weeks and the total cost of all the lessons is €20. The lessons usually run from 8.00 p.m. – 10.30 p.m. with a break for tea/coffee/. No previous card playing knowledge is required. For further details contact 087 – 2257498. Since the fire at the Post Office in Kilmoganny daily papers were not available but now the papers are available at Moran’s Shop. RECREATION PROPOSALS FOR KELLS: A Public meeting re the Proposed Recreational area for Kells village will be held on next Tuesday 24th Sept at 8.30p.m. in Kells Hall. In attendance will be representatives from KREE, Kells Childcare Centre, Kells Scouts, DKK Lotto, Kells Tidy Towns, Dunnamaggin Hurling Club, Kells Hall Committee, Kells Soccer Club.
