KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB had its Christmas Prize night on Wednesday 11th December. The following are the results: 1st: Nellie Lahart and Grace Landy; 2nd; Nicholas Flavin and Phil Brennan; 3rd; Marie Comerford and Emer Wallace; 4th Kathleen Brett and Joan O’Keeffe; 5th Mary Lonergan and Josie O’Gorman; 6th Pascal Grace and Ellen Delahunty; 7th Eileen Grace and Therese Walsh; 8th Brendan and Margaret Dunne.
The results of Wednesday 18th were: 1st; Nicholas Flavin and Breda O’Shea; 2nd: Josie O’Gorman and Mary Lonergan. There will be no Bridge for the next two weeks and Bridge will resume on Wednesday 8th January at 8.00 p.m.

DUNAMAGGAN G.A.A. CALENDARS 2014 are now available in Bob’s Stop & Shop Kells, Pete Moran’s Kilmoganny and the Post Office Kilmoganny. They may also be purchased through Collette Fitzpatrick or Jackie Kennedy. The proceeds of the Calendar's sale are for the Dunamaggin Juvenile Club. Their price is €8 each or 2 for €15.
CHRISTMAS MASS TIMES: The Christmas mass times for the parishes of Dunamaggan and Windgap are as follows: Christmas Eve; mass in St. Nicholas’ Church, Windgap at 6.00 p.m., in St. Eoghan’s Church, Kilmoganny at 7.15 p.m. and in St. Leonard’s Church, Dunamaggan at 9.00 p.m.. On Christmas Day masses are as follows: in St. Nicholas’ Church, Tullahought at 9.00 a./m., in St. Nicholas’ Church, Windgap at 10.00 a.m. and in St. Leonard’s Church, Dunamaggan at 11.00 a.m. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be celebrated in St. Eoghan’s Church, Kilmoganny on Saturday 21st and in St. Leonard’s Church, Dunamaggan on Sunday 22nd.
CHRISTMAS PROGRESSIVE 25’S will be held as usual in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny on Christmas night at 8.00 p.m. This very attractive Christmas Night Card Game is now one of the very popular events in the area.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGS: Dunamaggan Hurling Club and Kilmoganny Football Club will hold their Annual General Meetings on Friday 3rd January 2004. Nominations for officerships should be submitted on or before next Sunday 22nd December.
ERGRID PYLONS SUBMISSION: The Kells, Ennisnag, Stoneyford, Knocktopher Says NO to Eirgrid Pylons Committee has completed its Group Submission on behalf of the above communities and delivered this to Eirgrid as required by the Public Meeting of November 4th in Stoneyford Community Hall. This submission has also been given to all local authority members, local members of the Oireachtas and the relevant Government Ministers, Mr Pat Rabbitte T.D. and Mr. Brian Hayes T.D.
The Group Submission is now available for public inspection on the Stoneyford Community website www.stoneyfordonline.com and also in hard copy at Stoneyford Community Centre. The Committee would welcome any additional information or suggestions which could form the basis of a supplementary submission which will be received by Eirgrid up to January 7th 2014. The Committee would also encourage anyone who has not yet made a personal submission opposing Eirgrid's planned Gridlink project to do so before the above deadline - Jan.7th next and hopes that the information now available in The Group Submission will inform such submissions. (Submission forms are available for printing from the above website or from committee members.)
The Committee wish to encourage individuals to use this information to lobby local and national politicians to oppose Eirgrid's plans.
