KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: The results of Wednesday 22nd October were: 1st;
Grace Landy & Margaret Dunne; 2nd: Carmel O’Sullivan 7 Eimear
Wallace; 3rd: Jackie Kenneally & Moire Hickey. Bridge is played
each Wednesday in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny at 8.00 p.m. Visitors and new
members are welcome.

HALLOWEEN PARTY: A spooky Halloween Party will be held in St. Eoghan’s Centre,
Kilmoganny on Friday 31st October from 7.00 p.m. – 8.30 p.m.


 


DUNAMAGGAN PARISH PASTORAL
COUNCIL,
at its recent meeting decided that (1) On
Friday 14th November at 7.30 p.m. a special mass for bereaved
families, especially those bereaved during 2013 – 2014, living in the parish
would be celebrated in St. Leonard’s Church, Dunamaggan. A special candle will
be presented to each family during the celebration; (2) The Southern Deanery
Pastoral Council intends conducting a survey of young people in the new year;
(3) The recently published new Adult Catechism an d a study aid are available
and it is hoped to offer opportunities to adults to reflect upon it next Lent;
(4) Additional Eucharistic Ministers and Readers would be welcome as would
additional members of the Parish Council. The Chairperson, Ned Kirwan, invites
nominations of such people or volunteers to contact himself, the secretary,
Pascal Grace, or the Parish Priest, Rev. Nicholas Flavin; (5) The Council would
welcome information re the number of priests who were interred in the old
church in Dunamaggan and the possible location of such internments with the
intention of transferring them to more suitable locations.


 


KELLS MOUSE RACE:  A novel evening’s
entertainment will take place in Delaney’s Pub, Kells on Friday 14th
November at 8.00 p.m. The attractive fun evening will be mice races. Yes real
mice taking part in races. You can buy a mouse for €5 or 3 for €10. This is a
real bargain since you could win up to €500. Race cards are on sale locally.
The event is in aid of KREE, the Kells Region Economic Enterprise limited.
Support will enable KREE to continue its great work in the Kells area.


 


MASS FOR BEREAVED
FAMILIES:
A special mass especially for families
who suffered bereavement during 2013 – 2014 either of relatives within the
Parish of Dunamaggan or outside the parish will be celebrated in St. Leonard’s
Church, Dunamaggan on Friday 14th November at 7.30 p.m. All who
suffered bereavements at any time are very welcome to the celebration. A
special candle will be presented to each family during the mass and then placed
on the altar from where each family will take the candle home at the conclusion
of the ceremony.


 




PUBLIC
PARTICIPATION NETWORK (PPN):
The
PPN is the new structure devised by the Department of the Environment for the
involvement of Community, Environmental, Voluntary and all such groups in the
policy development at County and sub County level. If your group wishes to be
involved then it must register with the Co. Council before this Friday 31st
October.
