David retires from inter county hurling

24 November 2014

Our clubman David Herity has retired from inter-county hurling at the age of 31.

David has won five All-Ireland titles since joining the panel in 2008. He was first-choice keeper for two of those championship victories, in 2011 and 2012, and was also nominated for an All-Star in 2011.

Herity also won five Allianz Hurling League titles and represented Leinster in the interprovincial series.

He started Kilkenny's All-Ireland championship wins over Galway, Dublin and Limerick this year.
