KELLS HANDBALL: In the County 40 x 20
championships in the Ladies Senior Singles Marie Walshe (Kells) lost out to
Mary Phelan (Clogh); in the Ladies Junior Singles Final Kirsty Maher (Kells)
defeated Aishling Maher (Clogh) in two straight games and in the Masters B
Doubles  Paddy Fennelly/Pat Funchion (Kells)
defeated Joe Anthony/Jimmy Shanahan (Mullinavat). The Kilkenny U 12/13, U 14/15 and U 16/17 Juvenile 40 x 20 Teams all
defeated Wexford in the Leinster Finals. Congratulations and very well done.

Feile Skills COMPETITION: Dunamaggin Hurling
Club will hold its U 14 Féile Skills Competition in Dunamaggan on Sunday next March
29th at 12.45 p.m. The competition is open to all players on the
2015 U 14 panel.



KILOMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: Results of Wednesday 18th March: 1st Mary

Margaret Dunne & Mary Delaney. Bridge each Wednesday evening in St.
Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. Visitors are always welcome and partners will be
provided.



THE HISTORY OF DUNAMAGGAN group will have their next meeting on Tuesday 7th April
at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny at 8.00 p.m. All are welcome to
attend.

p.m.; Kilmoganny at 7.00 p.m. & Tullahought at 8.00 p.m. The Sacrament of
Reconciliation will be celebrated during the ceremonies; Holy Saturday:
Kilmoganny at 6.45 p.m.; Windgap at 7.45 p.m. & Dunamaggan at 9.00 p.m.


 


GAELIC4GIRLS RECRUTING: Gaelic4Girls has hit Dunnamaggin by storm, with 59 girls from
Dunnamaggin and the surrounding areas coming to Dunnamaggin GAA grounds last
Saturday (14th) to be treated to 60 minutes of great fun and
coaching in Ladies Gaelic Football. This programme continues for another 7
weeks every Saturday from 10.15am to 11.15am. It is fantastic to see so many
enthusiastic girls, most of whom have very little Gaelic Football experience,
enjoying themselves. Gaelic4Girls is open to girls aged 8-12yrs and spaces are
still available for anyone who would like to take part. Each player will be
presented with a Gaelic4Girls t-shirt and certificate at the end of the 8 week
period. The cost for the entire programme is only €8. For further details email

A RETIREMENT PARTY for
Dr. Patrick Crowley who was the GP based in Kilmoganny and serving the
Dunamaggan, Kells, Kilmoganny, Tullahought and Windgap communities for over 40
years too place on Monday 16
th March last. The celebrations
commenced with the celebration of mass in St. Eoghan’s Church at which the
Camphill choir from Ballytobin sang. This was followed by a celebration and
thank you to Dr. Pat in St. Eoghan’s Centre. Among the Speakers were Liam Aylward
former County Councillor, TD and MEP, Eddie Kelly former NT Windgap, Cllr Matt
Doran, Rev. Nicholas Flavin, Gretta from L’Arche, Patrick Lydon from Camphill,
John Hickey Chairperson Dunamaggan GAA and his successor Dr. O’Dea. A theme of
the contributions was his enormous voluntary contribution to life in the area
for the past 40 plus years. He was also an elected member of Kilkenny Co.
Council on two occasions, first elected in 1974 and also elected in 2009. He
was involved in many of the local developments including the arrival of the
L’Arche Community, Camphill Communities in Ballytobin, Ceart in Callan, St.
Joseph’s Home and numerous other projects. The evening celebrations concluded
with a musical session in Dunphy’s Lounge.
