KELLS HANDBALL CLUB: In the trials for
the Leinster U 11doubles one wall competition the Kells pair of Emmet Nolan and
Joseph Prendergast lost out to Kilfane and Mothel. The Leinster One Wall
tournament took place in Laois venues. The Kells representatives were in U 12
Doubles Padraig Lennon and Sean O’Keeffe lost to Laois, in the U 13 Singles Joe
Cowhig, in the U 15 Doubles Kieran Buckley and Robert Dowling (Mothel) lost to
Offaly, in the U 16 Doubles Conor Condon and Conor Hoban lost out in the finals
and in the U 15 Singles Eoin Brennan lost out to Dublin in the semi-final. In
the Girls U 13 Singles were Ciara Walsh and Olivia Mahoney, in Girls U 16
Singles was Kym Ryan and in the Girls U 17 Doubles Aoife Walsh and Caitriona
Lalor defeated Laois in the Final. Well done to everyone for participating.
Good luck to Kells player Dan Breen who is participating in the Kilfane 60 x 30
Hal Clarke tournament.

KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: The Results of Wednesday 27th
May were: Joint 1st Jackie Kenneally & Joan Cody and Therese
Walsh & Rita Townsend; 3rd Nellie O’Shea & Philip Brennan.
Bridge starts at 8.00 p.m. each Wednesday evening in St. Eoghan’s Centre,
Kilmoganny and visitors are very welcome especially those from clubs which have
ceased for the summer.


 


 


40TH ANNIVERSERY
CELEBRATIONS:
The 40th anniversary of Rev. Nicholas
Flavin’s Ordination will be marked by the celebration of a special mass in St.
Leonard’s Church, Dunamaggan on Saturday 6th June at 7.00 p.m. and
refreshments afterwards in St. Leonard’s School Hall. There is an open
invitation for all who wish to attend. Thus there will be no evening mass in
St. Eoghan’s Church on Saturday evening and no 11.00 a.m. mass in St. Leonard’s
Church next Sunday.


 



MASS OF HEALING & FOR
THE SICK
will be celebrated in St. Eoghan’s Church
on next Sunday June 7th at 11.00 a.m. During mass there will be the
Sacrament of Anointing and solemn blessing.
