NEDDY WALSH, Caherleske died at his residence last Wednesday. Even though he had been in

ill health for a short time his death was unexpected. He is survived by his children Mary, Pat, Jane

and Liam, his brothers Paddy and Billy and his sister Sr. Anne, grand-children, in-laws relatives

and friends. Two of his sisters Mai and Stella died within the past year. He was very dedicated to

his children and grand-children. He had a great commitment and dedication to vintage tractors

which was shown in his painstaking restoration of them and participating in many vintage tractor

rallys. The funeral cortege from his house to St. Leonard’s Church on last Saturday 22nd August

was led by one of his tractors driven by his neighbour and lifelong friend, David Gordon and

vintage tractors from the local area. His remains were received at St. Leonard’s Church by Rev.

Nicholas Flavin P.P. who celebrated the mass of Christian Burial. The readings and prayers of the

faithful were read by family members. The symbols presented at the mass reflected his love of

family, his work for many years as a game-keeper, his love of vintage tractors and farm

machinery. The funeral cortege from St. Leonard’s Church to his burial in Kilmoganny Cemetery

was again led by his neighbours and friends on their vintage tractors. May he rest in peace.
