THE KELLS SCOUTS BBQ will take place in Shirley’s, Kells on Sunday week 13th September


from 3.00 p.m. The scouts would welcome your support for this family event.



KELLS HANDBALL CLUB: In the Juvenile County 60 x 30 Kym Ryan (Kells) competed in the


Girls U 16 Singles, Aoife Walsh (Kells) competed in the Girls U 17 Singles but was defeated in


the final by Cathriona Lawlor (Clogh); Aoife Walsh teamed up with Kym Ryan in the Girls U 17


Doubles.


In the Adult Leinster 60 x 30 Brendan Burke and Diarmuid Burke (Kells) withdrew from the


Junior Doubles due to injury and gave a walkover to Robert Cleary and Adrian Benson (Dublin);


in the Ladies Junior B Singles Leinster Final Kirsty Maher (Kells) defeated Aisling Maher


(Clogh); in the Ladies Junior B Doubles Kirsty Maher (Kells) and Denise Love (Clogh) were


defeated by Aisling Maher and Aoileann Hennessy (Clogh) in the final.


PRESENTATION: The proceeds of the August Bank Holiday Fundraiser “I’m Not a Celebrity,


Keep me in Here” will be presented to the following: St. Joseph’s Care Home for the Elderly,


Kilmoganny, L’Arche, Kilmoganny and St. Eoghan’s School, Kilmoganny on this Friday 11th


September at 7.30 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. All are welcome to attend the


presentation at which light refreshments will be served.


THE SHRUGHAWADDA PLAYERS will have readings for its next Play on this Thursday 10th


September at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. New members are very welcome to


attend.


BRIDGE CLASSES FOR BEGINNERS will commence on Wednesday 7th October at 8.00 p.m.


The classes will continue on 10 successive Wednesdays. No previous card knowledge is required.

COUNTY CHAMPIONS: The under 14 Windgap Camogie team, which caters for girls from


Dunamaggan, are now County Champions having beaten Ballyhale Shamrocks in Piltown. They


led right from the start and with scores coming from Rosin Foley, Laura Foley, Emer Dunphy,


Gillian Costello, Sarah Doherty, and Amy O’Shea. The Team captain Laura Foley thanked


Ballyhale for a good game and she also thanked her fellow team mates for a great season of


camogie. In addition she thanked her team managers Pat Foley and Tony Dunphy. The team was


Lucy White, Tara Hayes, Laura Foley, Leah Murray, Cliodhna O'Shea, Sarah Doherty, Jade


O'Gorman, Gillian Costello, Roisin Foley, Sontea Jackson, Ellen O'Neill, Rachael Doherty, Ciara


Smith, Emer Dunphy, Amy O'Shea, Heather O'Brien, Grace McLoughlin, Jessica Enright, Emily


Culleton, and Amy Kinsella.


The Senior Camogie team had a great win over Ballyhale Shamrocks which now sees them


through to the second round which is against Piltown in Piltown on Sunday 20th September at a


time to be decided.


Windgap Camogie Club are holding a BBQ and Medal Presentation on Sunday 13th September at


12.00 noon. All team members from under 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 &1 6 are asked to attend and an


invitation is extended to everyone to join Windgap Camogie Club in the G.A.A Pitch, Windgap for


a wonderful event.
