SENIOR FOOTBALL SUCCESS: The Kilmoganny Senior footballers continued their winning ways under light in Muckalee on Friday night last. Kilmoganny started the game well with points from Darren Fitzpatrick and David Herity (2) before Muckalee responded with a point. Tommy Maher then responded with a good point. Then came a blow when Muckalee scored a goal despite the whistle being blown in the lead up for an earlier infraction. The Kilmoganny team gathered themselves and through a very composed back line started to build the play again. Ronan Coffey entered the fray for Donal O’Shea and immediately slotted over a good point before Tommy Maher slotted another to send the sides in Kilmoganny 0 - 6, Muckalee 1 - 01 at halftime. The second half was very slow to yield the first score as both sides were guilty of losing possession and poor shooting. David Herity broke the deadlock with a point 10 minutes into the half. Muckalee responded with their second point before Ronan Coffey again stepped up to add a goal and a point to his tally in quick succession to put some distance between the sides. Darren Fitzpatrick then put over the point of the game before Muckalee responded with a point but at this stage Kilmoganny were playing a better style of football and working possession out of their very strong defence. Ronan Coffey and David Herity added further points before in the move of the game Canice Hickey worked the ball out of defence, fed it to the lively Ronan Coffey who gave it to Peter Kenneally who made no mistake in rattling the net. Full Time score Kilmoganny 2 - 11 Muckalee 1 - 03. Panel :- Aaron Doherty, Liam Heffernan, Noel Hickey, Mark Heffernan, Paddy Delaney (Aidan Donovan), Canice Hickey, Mark Dowling, Sean Connery, William Phelan, Kenny Moore (Peter Kenneally), David Herity, Darren Fitzpatrick ( Andrew Fitzpatrick), Donal O’Shea ( Ronan Coffey), Kieran Bergin, Tommy Maher, Brian Farrell, Roy Cullen, Jack Brett, Eoghan Kearney, Jason Doherty.
