D.K.K. LOTTO: The winning numbers of the June 6th draw were: 11, 15, 20. The jackpot was not won. The following won €30 each: Brid Moylan, Evelyn Butler, Phil Mahoney, Clare Kelly and John Wemyss. Next weeks jackpot is now worth €3,100. The Bingo jackpot on Saturday night’s in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny is now worth €740. The Pool number is worth €1,510.
MOWERS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT: Dunamaggan G.A.A. Club and the Camphill Community are attempting to set a world record for the greatest number of Ride-On Lawn Mowers cutting grass in the same place at the same time on Sunday July 24th in Dunamaggan. The main sponsors of the event are Husqvarna. The organising committee which meet each week in St. Leonard’s Hall, Dunamaggan are inviting all who wish to assist as volunteers to a special meeting on Friday week, June 24th at 9.00 p.m. (a week later than previously arranged). The event gives each participant the unique opportunity to be part of a World Record. The event itself is now just over five weeks away on Sunday July 24th.
CEMETERY MASSIS IN DUNAMAGGAN PARISH will be celebrated in Kilmoganny Cemetery on Friday 8th July, in Kilree Cemetery on Wednesday 13th July and in Dunamaggan Cemetery on Friday 15th July. Each celebration will take place at 8.00 p.m.. Mass for those buried in the Village cemetery in Kilmoganny will be the Sunday morning mass at 9.30 a.m. on July 10th.
A LIVE RADIO BROADCAST by KCLR in conjunction with Kilkenny Mobile Radio Service will take place from St. Leonard’s School, Dunamaggan on Tuesday 28th June from 10.00 a.m. – 12.00 noon. The broadcast will include music, chat and stories from the locality.
The John Lockes Field Day takes place on Sunday next 19th June. There will be lots of family entertainment including monster slides, bungee jumps, childrens adventure area as well as vintage cars and a dog show. Entry to the event is €3.00 for Adults while children are free.There will also be a Gaelic Football tournament for the surrounding schools so why not come to Callan on Sunday next 19th June. football begins at 12.30 p.m. and Field Day starts at 2.00 p.m.
THE CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION will take place in Dunamaggan after 11.00 a.m. mass on Sunday 26th June. All the children who received their First Holy Communion this year are invited to form a special section of the procession.
