KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: The results of Wednesday 11th May were: 1st:Tina Ronan & Philip Brennan; 2nd Mary Dunne & Betty Cuddihy, 3rd: Carmel O’Sullivan & Emer Wallace. Bridge takes place each Wednesday at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. Visitors are always welcome and it is not necessary to have a partner as one will be provided on the night.


Bingo is held in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny each Saturday evening at 8.30 p.m. Next Week’s Pool No is €140; the Jackpot is €140 and Pete’s No is €340.

FIRST COMMUNION was celebrated in St. Eoghan’s Church, Kilmoganny at noon last Sunday 15th May. Noah Cahill, Kayleigh Fitzpatrick, and Aaron King pupils of St. Eoghan’s School, Kilmoganny were the recipients of First Holy Communion. The music and singing was provided by the school pupils. The readings and prayers at mass were recited by the communicants. The gifts at mass were presented by the children and their parents. Mass was celebrated by Rev. Nicholas Flavin P.P. who thanked the teachers, parents and families for preparing the children for the day.


 


KELLS HANDBALL CLUB: In the 60 x 30 Hardball Championships Minor Doubles semi-final Eoin Brennan (Kells)/Shane Dunne (Clogh) defeated Gearoid O’Connell/Eoghan Sheehan (Cork); in the Junior Doubles Diarmuid Burke/Anthony Martin (Kells) were defeated by Barry Devlin /Gabhain McCrystal (Tyrone). In the Inis Mór One Wall Tournament in the Men’s B/C singles Final Dan Breen (Kells) defeated Mike Dillon (Galway).  Martin Mulkerrins (Galway) defeated Dan in the Open Singles.


 


THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION will be celebrated in St. Eoghan’s Church, Kilmoganny on this Saturday during 11.00 a.m. mass. Children from the three primary schools in Dunamaggan parish will receive the sacrament.
