KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: The results of Wednesday 25th May were: 1st: Philip Brennan & Tina Ronan; Joint 2nd Mary Lonergan & Kathleen O’Shea, and Margaret Dunne & Mary Delaney.3rd. Bridge takes place each Wednesday at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. Visitors are always welcome and it is not necessary to have a partner as one will be provided on the night.

FIRST COMMUNION was celebrated in Kells on Saturday last 27th May during 11.30 a.m. mass for Emma O’Sullivan and Ben Cullen, pupils of St. Brigid’s School, Kells. Mass was celebrated by Rev. Nicholas Flavin, the singing was provide by the school choir and the reading and prayers at mass were read by the first communicants. The children and members of their families also presented gifts and symbols. Refreshments were provided in the Mill afterwards for all present.


 


MASS AT THE GROTTO: The annual mass of healing will be celebrated at the Grotto in Dunamaggan on Sunday 12th June at 11.00 a.m. Those attending the mass are asked to follow the directions of stewards re parking etc..


 


 ST.JOSEPH’S HOME FOR ELDERLY in Kilmoganny wishes to thank all who is different ways contributed to is fundraising on May 1st. The home which is part funded by the HSE is very dependent on fundraising and donations for the provision its services to persons of low dependency who avail of its services. The Home provided dinners to many in the locality and residential accommodation to a maximum of 20 people. It also provided a day care centre on each Wednesday. In all over €8,300  was raised.
