KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: The results of Wednesday August 3rd were: 1st: Josie O’Gorman & Philip Brennan; 2nd; Nicholas Flavin & Therese Walsh; 3rd; Rita Townsend & Jackie Kenneally.. Bridge takes place each Wednesday at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. Visitors are always welcome and it is not necessary to have a partner as one will be provided on the night.

KELLS HANDBALL CLUB: Kells Handball Club would like to express their deepest sympathy and condolences to the Walsh family on the death of Michael ‘Ducksy’ Walsh, a legend in handball, our prayers and thoughts are with you all.


In the Adult Leinster 60 x 30 championships in the Junior Singles Ger McGrath (Kells) received a walkover from Niall Maher (Wexford) due to injury and Anthony Martin (Kells) gave a walkover to Joe Cummins (Meath) due to work commitments and David Kenny (Wexford) defeated C. J. Delaney (Kells). In the Juvenile 60 x 30 County Championships in the U 12 Doubles Harry Delaney and Joseph Prendergast (Kells) defeated Clogh but lost out in the final to Kilfane and in the U 15 Doubles Michael Prendergast and Ryan Grace (Kells) lost out in the final to Clogh.


 


GOLF CLASSIC: The annual Dunamaggin GAA Clu8b Golf Classis takes place in Callan Golf Club on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th August. A team of 4 costs €200 to enter. If you wish to sponsor a tee box it costa €50. For tee times contact Michael Murphy at 086 – 2364864.


 


FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION which takes place on next Monday 15th August has the following masses for the Feast: in St. Eoghan’s Church, Kilmoganny on Sunday 14th at 7.00 p.m. and at 9.30 a.m. on Monday 15th and in St. Leonard’s Church, Dunamaggan at 11.00 a.m. on Monday 15th.
