KILMOGANNY BRIDGE CLUB: The results of Wednesday August 24th were in the Individual competition: 1st Philip Brennan; 2nd; Ellen Delahunty; 3rd@: Paschal Grace. Bridge takes place each Wednesday at 8.00 p.m. in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. Visitors are always welcome and it is not necessary to have a partner as one will be provided on the night. Beginner’s classes in Bridge will commence on Wednesday 5th October. No Card knowledge is necessary.

KELLS HANDBALL CLUB: In the County 60 x 30 championships in the Senior Singles Ger McGrath (Kells) had to give a walkover, due to injury, to Eddie Bourke (O’Loughlin’s); in the Intermediate Singles C.J. Delaney (Kells) defeated Padraig Cooney (Clogh) and Dan Breen (Kells) gave a walkover to Brian Mahon (Clogh).


Following the recent Juvenile County 60 x 30 championships the selections have been made for the teams that will represent Kilkenny in the forthcoming Juvenile Leinster 60 x 30 championships.  Kells representatives are Padraig Lennon on the U 12/13 Team of 6, Michael Prendergast with James Love (Clogh) in Boys U 15 Doubles, Eoin Brennan in the Boys U 16 Singles, Conor Condon in the Boys U 17 Singles, Michael Power and Kevin Murray on the U 16/17 Team of 4, Rachel Doherty in the Girls U 13 Singles and Kym Ryan with Margaret Purcell (Windgap) in the Girls U 17 Doubles. REIGN OF TERROR: This is a 5 Km and 10 Km obstacle course Run like no other in Kells. It will take place on Saturday 22nd October. The course will include many natural features of the area such as the Kings River, natural hill climbs etc with the competitors at all times in view of the public. KILMOGANNY OPEN MIC NIGHT is a night of Song, Poetry, Music, and Stories. Thank you to everyone who attended the recent Kilmoganny 'Open Mic Night' where €35 was raised for L'Arche. This money will be spent on a Visual Communication Aid recommended by the Human Rights Committee of L’Arche - Core Members are on this Committee - which will help them towards even greater independence.
The next 'Open Mic Night' will take place at 8.30 p.m. Thursday 1st September in St Eoghan's Centre and Everyone is Welcome. Anyone wishing to take part please ring Alva on 085 - 8641378. Future 'Open Mic Nights' will take place on the first Thursday of every month. Each month the donation raised goes to a local Charity.
