U14 FC Semi Final Vs Glenmore Friday 2nd Jan 2015
The Kilmoganny U14 footballers advanced to their championship final by beating fellow Southern team Glenmore in a Sunny but cool Dunnamaggin on Friday last. Kilmoganny were very dominate in the opening twenty minutes with Denis Walsh, Adam Farrell and Darragh O’Keeffe (2) splitting the uprights with Ian Walsh and Darragh also finding the net during the same period. Glenmore finally got out of their own half on the 20th min and from the resulting attach the ball made its way to the back of the net. They followed this up with a fine point. Kilmoganny did respond with fine scores through Darragh again to send the sides in Kilmoganny 2-06 Glenmore 1-01
Kilmoganny got the scoreboard moving in the second half with a fine point from Adam Farrell only for Glenmore to respond with a well taken goal. Eddie Dunne was accurate with the placed ball only for Glenmore to again respond with a point. As the game moved into the final quarter Kilmoganny pushed on for home and the constant work-rate of Ian Walsh, Dylan Crehan, Adam Farrell, Harry Walsh and Conor Hoban was starting to break down their opponents. A fine goal from Adam Farrell and points from Eddie (2) nudged their team closer to victory. Conor Hoban then got in on the action and duly rattled the net. Adam finished the scoring for Kilmoganny with a point before Glenmore got a goal from a long ball in which sneaked into the top corner of the net. Kilmoganny 4-11 Glenmore 3-03
